Pieter Perret (1555–1639),

• Was a Dutch print artist and court engraver.
• He was a pupil of Maarten de Vos and since 1574 of Gerard de Jofe.
• He worked at the studio of Cornelis Cort.
• He was born at Anwerp and died in Madrid Spain.
• He appointed Spanish court engraver by Philip II.
• The displayed print is  a crop from : Christ and the Woman Taken in Adultery, 1579.
