Andreas Altomonte (1699–1780)
• Was an Austrian architect, engraver, draftsman, and painter.
• He was born in Vienna.
• Son of the painter Martin Altomonte.
• The original family name Hohenberg was changed to Altomonte after the family moved to Italy.
• Andreas studied architecture at the Academy in Vienna and with his father participated in building the church of St. Peter's Basilica in Vienna.
• His other Viennese works include the design of the Equestrian School and the orangery of the Schwarzenberg Palace, in the 1850s. worked in the service of Josef Adam from Schwarzenberg.
• For Josef Adam he created the project of the castle garden with the Neptune cascade fountain, he is also the author of the Krumlov Castle pavilion.
