Johannes Beerblock (1739-1806)

• Was a Flemish painter.
• Jan Beerblock was born on November 10th 1739, in Bruges, Belgium.
• Jan Beerblock was a gifted draftsman from the age of his teenage years.
• First he worked on an independent basis and was later noticed by a wealthy Bruggeling, who had him enrolled at the Bruges Academy.
• He graduated in 1772, when he was already 33 years old.
• Some works that are not signed are usually assigned to him because of his own style.

• Johannes died in Bruges on October 10th 1806.
