Francesco Capella (1714–1784)
• Called Daggiù and Il Capella.
• Was an Italian painter.
• He was born in Venice, Italy.
• Francesco Capella was a pupil of Giambattista Piazzetta and he worked in the master's workshop until the latter's death.
• Daggiù was listed in the Fraglia of Venetian painters between 1744 and 1746, and in 1756 he became a member of the Accademia.
• He painted history paintings, and was chiefly employed for the churches at Bergamo, and by the state.
• He teached Giovanni Battista dell' Era, an Italian painter, draftsperson, miniaturist painter, copyist, and pastelist.
