Roberto de Odorisio (c. 1335 – after 1382)

• Was an Italian painter.
• Active in Naples.
• The first part of his activity around the middle of the century may have taken place in the Salerno area, as is attested by the works around the Crucifixion preserved in the Diocesan Museum of Salerno.
• His hand has also been recognized in the frescoes of the Sepulchre of Robert of Anjou in the church of Santa Chiara.
• After 1364 he executed Biblical Stories and the famous series of Sacraments and the Triumph of the Church frescoed in the church of Santa Maria Incoronata in Naples.
• Other works assigned to him by art critics may belong to his pupils or other contemporary painters.
• Robert of Odorisio is finally documented on 1 February 1382, when King Charles III of Durrës appointed him as his family guest in the palace and proto painter of the court with a salary of thirty ounces per year.
