• Giovanni di Francesco di Piero was registered in 1442 at the Arte dei medici e degli speziali.
• In 1458-59 he was paid for the execution of a fresco with God the Father and angels, painted in a telescope above the entrance of the Hospital of the Innocents in Florence.
• Giovanni di Francesco is still responsible for a triptych, now dispersed, with the Madonna (Pitti, donation Contini-Bonacossi), Saint Anthony abbot (Milan, Ambrosian) and Saint James (Museum of Lyon).
• He made a predella at Casa Buonarroti (otherf. to S. Croce in Florence) with Scenes from the life of Saint Nicholas, an Adoration of the Magi in the Louvre, and a Crucifix from S. Andrea a Brozzi (Florence, major seminary).
