Francesco Napoletano, pseudonym of Francesco Galli (about 1470 - 1501 )
• Was an Italian painter.
• He was a pupil of Leonardo da Vinci.
• The starting point for trying to reconstruct his figure is a signed altarpiece, kept in the Zurich Museum, with the Madonna enthroned between Saints John the Baptist and Sebastian.
• His real surname was Galli.
• Francis died sick of the plague.
• Francesco was one of Leonardo's earliest followers, alongside Boltraffio, Marco d'Oggiono and Salai.
• He entered the Leonardo's workshop in Milan in 1490.
