Master of The Scrovegni Chapel Presbytery (first quarter of the 14th century)

• Was an Italian painter.
• The painter was active in Padua during the first quarter of the 14th century.
• Also known as the Master of the Scrovegni Choir.
• The anonymous artist who completed the fresco decoration in the Scrovegni Chapel by painting scenes from the life of the Virgin in the presbytery.
• In the attempt of reconstructing the Corpus of the works which can be ascribed to the Master of the Scrovegni Choir, other frescos located in Padua are analyzed: Two Virgins enthroned with Child kept in the Church of the Eremitani, two fragments preserved in the Museo Antoniano originally located in the Basilica of St. Anthony of Padua, and the frescoes that decorate the apse of S. Maria in Sylvis at Sesto al Reghena.
