Jan Looten (1617/18 – c. 1681)
• Was a Dutch landscape painter.
• Looten was born and raised in Amsterdam.
• In or after 1664 he moved to London and later to York.
• His studio in London was in St James's Market.
• Four landscapes attributed to Jan Looten are in the Royal Collection.
• He worked in circa 1675 for King James II of England.
