Jan Jansz. den Uyl (1595/96 – 1639/40),
• Was a Dutch painter of the Dutch Golden Age.
• He was born in Kampen.
• He specialized in the form of still life known as the breakfast piece, or banquet pieces (banketjestukken).
• He also painted landscapes and animal paintings.
• Peter Paul Rubens owned three of his paintings.
• He trained Jan Jansz. Treck.
• Jan Jansz. den Uyl married Jan Jansz. Treck sister in 1619.
• He died in Amsterdam.
