Jan Jansz. Treck (1606 - 1652)

• Was a Dutch still-life painter.
• In 1623 Treck was trained for half a year by Jan den Uyl. 
• His style shows influence by Pieter Claesz and Willem Heda.
• In 1640 he supplied the art dealer Hendrick Uylenburgh with money.
• Treck influenced Pieter van Anraedt and Willem Kalf.
• The displayed painting is a crop from: Still Life with a Pewter Flagon and Two Ming Bowls, 1651.
