František Vavřinec Korompay (1723 – 1779)
• Was a Moravian late Baroque painter.
• His ancestors probably came from Hungary.
• According to O. Schweigl, he was a pupil of František Antonín Palko during his stay in Brno and moved with him to Brno.
• In Brno he married in 1750.
• He stayed in Brno his entire life.
• František Vavřinec Korompay died on August 11, 1779 in a house on Dolní Měnínská street No. 149 (today's Orlí) in very modest circumstances.
