 Christoph Nikolaus Kleemann (1737-1797)

• Was a German painter, draftsman, and copperplate engraver.
• He was baptized on August 24, 1737 in Altdorf near Nürnberg,
• Son of the painter Nicolaus Moritz Kleemann.
• Trained with his father.
• Until 1770 he worked in Nuremberg.
• He painted landscapes, architectural pieces and created numerous copperplate engravings with city views.
• Furthermore he painted natural produce for the Nuremberg publishing house Georg Wolfgang Knorrs Erben.
• From 1770 on he lived in Ulm.
