Palamedes Palamedesz I. (1607-1638)
• Was a Dutch Golden Age painter.
• He was younger brother of Anthonie Palamedes.
• Houbraken mentions that his talent was so good that Palamedes became a master without having had a master.
• His motto was "to begin from the beginning".
• Palamedes primarily painted battle scenes.
• He died at 31 on 26 March 1638.
