Enoch Seeman (1694 - 1744/1745)
• Was an English painter.
• He was born into a family of painters in Danzig.
• Seeman was brought to London from Danzig by his father, also Enoch (born circa 1660), in around 1704.
• The earliest known painting by the younger Seeman is a group portrait of the Bisset family, now held at Castle Forbes in Grampian, Scotland, and dated by an inscription to 1708.
• As a painter to the British royal court, Seeman the Younger completed coronation portraits of George II and his wife Queen Caroline of Ansbach in around 1730.
• In 1734, Seeman painted a portrait of Jane Pratt Taylor, daughter of Lord Chief Justice John Pratt.
• Seeman the younger died in London in April 1745.
