Sebastian Vrancx (1573-1647)

• Was a Flemish Baroque painter and draughtsman.
• He was born in Antwerp.
• He was an apprentice in the workshop of Adam van Noort.

• Vrancx is known for his battle scenes, a genre that he pioneered in Netherlandish painting.
