František Antonín Šebesta-Sebastini (1724-1789)

• Was a Bohemian-Moravian painter.
• Sebastini is documented for the years 1749 to 1753 in Kojetín.
• From 1761 to 1783 he worked mainly in Upper Silesia and then probably in Prostějov.
• He worked mainly for ecclesiastical clients and created numerous frescoes and oil paintings.
• In Upper Silesia he often worked with the sculptor and plasterer Johann Schubert.
• The numerous orders in Oberglogau, Głogówek town in Polandand, the surrounding area were given to him by the landlord, Reichsgraf Oppersdorf.
• Since Sebastini rarely signed his works, the attribution is not always certain.
• Some of the attributions have been rejected and the Jesuits, who were also active in Upper Silesia Attributed to Ignaz Raab.
