Giuseppe Maria Terreni (1739 - 1811)

• Was an Italian painter.

• Terreni was born and died in Livorno.

• In his hometown he frescoed the Chapel of the Blessed Sacrament in the Cathedral with the Triumph of the Eucharist in the cap, Hope, Charity, Faith and Religion in the sails.
• He also worked on some chapels of the church of Santa Caterina, in the Venezia Nuova district and, in collaboration with Antonio Niccolini.
• In 1794 he worked in the chapel of the Rosary of the Certosa di Calci.
• At the end of the eighteenth century, with Giuseppe Castagnoli, he redecorated the Sala delle Nicchie of Palazzo Pitti, in Florence.
• Between 1783 and 1785 he created the Collection of the most beautiful views of the city and port of Livorno.
